MAGIC CHRISTIAN

Magic can be more than just entertainment. Magic is communication with the audience. Magic transports information and builds a mental connection from the artist to the spectator (and thus from the "enchanted" product of the company to the audience). Magic isn't consumed as entertainment, because it is an activity which stimulates the spectator's thinking.
We can offer you numerous forms of Magic Shows. The art of a good magician is to customize his programme individually for a specific product or event, thus creating a direct link between the presentation and the organizer.  

1. CLOSE-UP MAGIC (Table-magic)

The audience is included into the show and has the possibility to see the artist doing his tricks at very short distance.
Size: From 10 viewers up
Duration: 30 minutes or more, depending on the size of the group
Place: directly at the table or in a small room  

2. PARLOUR-MAGIC

Size: From 50 viewers to 100 viewers
Duration: 20 minutes - 60 minutes
Place: Room, small ballroom, small stage   

3. STAGE-MAGIC (Performance with music and patter, satirical texts)

Size: 100 - 2.000 viewers
Duration: 45 - 60 min, depending on mood, space, lighting conditions and (of course) wishes from the organizer

As conclusion to a show, the repetitively requested, sensational

Hot Chairs, Cold Hands:

People from the audience get on the stage and are suggestively influenced by Magic Christian (without bringing them into an embarassing situation). Magic Christian orders them to sit down on chairs. The magic begins. The seats begin to feel hot, Spectators have to get up, but stick to the floor and the walls with their hands. For a short period, they can't move their legs, spoons turn so hot that they have to drop them. The more the audience laughs, the people on stage react.

New, specifically customized tricks can be incorporated (for example, to present some product in a magical way). There is no product which is not qualified for a magic trick.  

4.WORLCHAMPION MANIPULATIONS

Size: ab 500 - 2.000 persons
Duration: appr. 10 Min. - 12 Min
Location: Small and big stages, theatres, night clubs, varieties

Manipulations: Three times MAGIC CHRISTIAN was awarded with the first prize in the category Manipulation at the FISM World Conventions. He is the first and only winner in this category for three times and even in a row. In his worl-champion programme he manipulates playing cards, long stemmed roses and walking canes a with a lot of elegancy and phantasy. Card fans appear, diappear, are juggled and become more and more at his fingertips. The cards fly around his body and enlarge enormously at the end. 5. BIG ILLUSION SHOWS (especially for big events and large stages)

Size: 500 - 30.000 persons
Duration: starting from 20 min. to 60 min.
Place: big stages, big tents, stadium

Extract from the list of illusions:

Zig-Zag Girl: Dividing a women into 3 parts

Kubus-Illusion: 4 tubes pass through a box, in which an assistant stands (you can see through the tubes). The assistent cannot (or can she ?!) be in that box, that is perfectly impossible...

Substitution Trunk: 2 girls are tied up in a bag, and are placed inside a box which is secured with locks and ropes. Magic Christian climbs on the box and lifts a curtain. The curtain drops and in a second the girls are on top of the box, freed from their bags, and Magic Christian is found inside (tied up in the two bags). Miracoulous.

Miss Made Girl: A female assistent is put into a standing box, which is divided into four parts with several blades. All parts are separated, mixed and recombined. The now wrongly set-together assistant is seen. The box is reassembled, and the assistant appears in sound condition.

Miss Made Double: (Based on an idea from M.C.) This is the same effect like described above, but this time, the boxes are presented with two differently dressed women. The parts are interchanged and mixed, and the assistents leave each box intact, but with mixed coloured dresses on.

Glass Plate Illusion: A women from the audience passes through a big glass plate, which stands upright on stage. She lies on a rollable table and is driven through the glass plate to the other side. Very dramatical !

Floating Lady: In the park. A girl strolls along. A gardian is watching the nearing thunderstorm. A passer-by (M.C.) arrives. In the heavy rain the girl start to float on the broom of the gardian. As the sun shines again, the witchcraft is over.

An session at the psychiatrist: A women from the audience floats above the chairs of the modern psychiatrist. A satirical scene concerning today's psychophobile times.

Sword Box: The Head of a female assistent is covered with a small box. 20 swords pass through the box. The front of the box is opened, the head is gone. The only thing visible are the blades of the swords.

Floating Car: A car begins to float on the stage. A big hoop is passed around the car, to show that there is no connection beween the car and the surrounding. Space is essential for this illusion.

Appearing Car: After some magical presentations, a car appears on the open stage at the point where other tricks have been presented. Space is essential for this illusion. Different versions !

Variations:
Appearing Persons: Central theme of this trick are some persons who appear behind a glittering paravant. Accordung to your needs, we can work out a new version of this trick. Only for the stage in a theatre !
