The golden Hofzinser-Ring

In december 2010 Magic Christian was honored with the famous golden Hofzinserring by Wittus Witt, the editor of the well known German Magic Magazine "Magische Welt" for his nearly 20 years of research about the work and life of this famous Viennese magician who is named the father of modern Card Magic. This ring was established in 1933 by Robert Farchmin and presented to the prominent Viennese magician Ottokar Fischer at the 25th anniversary of the Magic Club of Vienna. Later it was passed on to Kalanag, Punx and Werry. Now Magic Christian is the honored one and proud to be named in this circle of well known names.

The Golden Order of Merit of the Republic of Austria

The Golden Order of Merit is the highest distinction conferred in Austria.
On 10th December 2008, Dr. Claudia Schmied presented Magic Christian with the Golden Order of Merit for his tirelessness research and documentation of Austrian magic history.

Award of Performing Fellowship

The Performing Fellowship is the highest award that a performing magician can achieve and is equivalent to an Oscar of magic.
On 6th March 2005 Magic Christian was awarded a Performing Fellowship of the Academy of Magical Art during the awards banquet in the Henry Fonda “Music Box” theatre in Hollywood.

Goldener Rathausmann der Stadt Wien (Golden Standard Bearer of the City of Vienna)

In December 2003 Magic Christian was presented with the Golden Standard Bearer of the city of Vienna for his contribution to the magic arts and his research into Vienna’s magic history. The statuette is a 20 cm (7.8 inch) high golden replica of the Standard Bearer which tops the city hall and is a prestigious honour that is handed over personally by the mayor.

Appointment to “Professor” by the Federal President

In the autumn of 2000 Magic Christian was appointed “Professor” by the (then) federal president Thomas Klestil.

The Silver Order of Merit of the Republic of Austria

The silver order of merit is the (second) highest award that is given by the Austrian state.
